Priceline Hotel: One week in New York May 2008

Hello from Belgium

Basically one question: is there any possibility that I could 'win' a 4* hotel in NYC (Midtown E/W or UM-CPS) via Priceline/Hotwire for a whole week May 11-18. I know there is the possibility of splitting the bids and then having to move hotels - but I dont really fancy this....

Would it be a waste of time trying as its for 7 nights? Grateful for your esteemed opinion/advice.

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Yes it's possible... especially if you're willing to bid high enough, but eventually you will likely reach a point where you'd want to consider SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID.

I haven't looked at your specific dates above, but generally speaking this is a very expensive time in NYC. Have you begun to research prices? (use our BetterChecker to assist in your search) What is the best deal you're able to find thus far... what is your maximum bid for this stay?

If you're ready to bid let us know the answers to the questions above and we'll advise accordingly.

Hi

I booked the 3.5* Roosevelt for a week in May at 244$ for a "Cozy" queen.thru Expedia .I know its going to be small but the price seems OK.

Just wondering if it wouid be worth my while trying to bid for Sunday/Monday/Tuesday 11-13 May on Priceline to try to get a 4* hotel in Midtown East (not far from Roosevelt) for the same price or even less. I know Sunday night in NYC is cheap so..any tips please?

Thanks in advance
