FBT Posted April 1, 2008 Report Posted April 1, 2008 I am looking to stay at 3 or 4* hotel in either DWC or Universal/Sea World Area. There are many 4* resort in the DWC area. Is there a specific trick to bid the resort? Also, it looks like the only area that offers 4* is Universal/Sea World Area, I guess I can really rebid if I want to go to Renaissance or Peabody. Can someone suggest a price range? Thanks.

FBT Posted April 2, 2008 Author Report Posted April 2, 2008 I replied the hotwire bid, also, I find out there is an option for the resort. As for the 4* hotel and suggested price range, I still need some help. Also, how much is it for the resort fee? Thanks.
thereuare Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 In your Hotwire Thread thread you indicated that you used PRICELINE instead... can you share the details of your priceline purchase with the board as perhpas that information can benefit a future user. Please post the details in your existing thread and we'll then edit the topic title and move to the PRICELINE section of the board. In regards to your stay above, if you let us know what it is you're looking for (Resort, 4 star, 3 star... you mention all three) and your budget we can suggest a strategy for you to follow (but please follow-up your previous thread with the results first)Resort fees vary by property and won't be known until after your purchase, so if you're budget is tight, you need to take that into consideration. Also note, that some non-Resort properties also charge 'resort fees' so additional fees may apply at 3* and 4* properties as well. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Thanks. FBT Posted April 3, 2008 Author Report Posted April 3, 2008 I provided the info in the hotwire forum. As for the 4* in the Universal area (want to have Renaissance, planning to start bidding at $60), maximum $100For the resort in DWC, maximum $100 (planning to start bidding at $60)3* in Universal and DWC, maximum $65 (planning to start bidding at $35)For the 4* in Universal, I can do free rebid since most areas in Orlando does not offer 4* hotels.
thereuare Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 What do you want to try for first? If a 4* in the Universal zone, realize that you can't bid for a specific hotel, so you could receive any 4* hotel in the zone. As well, th zone you select is the minimum you are willing to accept, so you could also be upgraded to a Resort property. Is the above acceptable? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. FBT Posted April 3, 2008 Author Report Posted April 3, 2008 Thanks. I started to bid on 4* and resort, trying to target the Universal, and Disney maingate area. No luck with $60, $65 and $70 bids.Just did a quick search in Hotwire, can someone help me to ID this hotel.4* hotel in SeaWorld - I drive South Area with the following amenities.Fitness Centre, Pool, Restaurant, Business Centre, Laundry, Hi-speed internet, Golf.Quite a deal, it costs $64 per night, I am suspecting Rosen Plaza. What do you guys think? Thanks.
thereuare Posted April 4, 2008 Report Posted April 4, 2008 This is a match for the Rosen Center so that would be our best guess (the Rosen Plaza is a different property and currently rated 3.5*)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
