I stayed here after a $89/night Hotwire win for 3/29-3/31/08 The location is very good, being close enough to the sights of the French Quarter, but far enough away to be quiet. The room was pleasant. We wrere assigned an accessible 1Queen room with a courtyard/pool view, so the standard huge bathroom was a nice perk. Bedding was comfortable, and the decor was definitely a step up from the standard Holiday Inn.

I do have a couple comments, though. There was no closet in the room, but just a small wardrobe. It was sufficient for me, but a clothes-horse might have issues. Also, my room was not made up until approx. 7pm the first night of my stay. The first night of my stay, the front desk clerk informed me that the hotel was sold out, so that may have been a factor.

Also, parking is valet only and $29+$5tax/night. there are cheaper lots in the area within walking distance.

My only other comment (which is very minor) is that the standard shampoo/conditioner/lotion wasn't in the room, having only shampoo and soap. This was a very minor inconvenience, though, so I did not make a call to housekeeping

In all, I would say I was very pleased with my stay, and would return. I would rate it a VERY SOLID 3 star, perhaps 3.5.
