paulieuk Posted April 1, 2008 Report Posted April 1, 2008 As there are plenty of rebid opportunities I began very low at $60 and increased by $5 to $75 and then went to $78 (as this was a previously reported win for the Hyatt La Jolla) which was accepted.I was surprised to get the Mission Bay property, as the Priceline retail rate was $219 compared to the Priceline retail rate of $174 for the Hyatt Regency La Jolla. It was priced higher on the Hyatt website too.Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $78.00Subtotal: $156.00Taxes & Service Fees: $28.93Total Charges: $184.93Total on the Hyatt website for cheapest room was $425.51, so a saving of $240.58. Happy with the saving, that it wasn't the 'cheapest' hotel available and that it's a newly refurbished hotel.
thereuare Posted April 1, 2008 Report Posted April 1, 2008 Congratulations on your win and thank you for sharing it with the board.I often find very little correlation between the hotel with the least expensive retail rate and the hotel that is ultimatley received thru PRICELINE or HOTWIRE.Glad to see that you're happy with the results and received some very nice savings with your win. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Thanks again for sharing... enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
