Hotwire Hotel: 3.5* NYC (Times Square-Theater District) Crowne Plaza

The good:

1) Clean and neat (though bathroom is 'tired')

2) Good location

3) Nothing extraordinary about the place as it's pretty vanilla (is that good...or bad....I couldn't decide).

The bad:

1) Internet is slow (867kbps down, 200kbps up on average) and today they RAISED the price from $14.50 per day to $19.50 per day

2) Renovation going on on upper floors so drilling during the day means no naps (if you're into that sort of thing) so BE CAREFUL what floor you choose since they claimed the only inconvenience was possible water shutoff between 10am-4pm but mentioned nothing about drilling

3) Room was by elevator and the cleaning staff was laughing, hooting and hollering every morning right outside my door at 9am-ish and I had to go and tell them nicely to "pleez keep it quiet".

Price was right but I'll probably choose another hotel next time.
