travelsf Posted March 31, 2008 Report Posted March 31, 2008 I need help identifying the following two hotels on Hotwire:4* Central Park Area - $239/nightBoutique, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet3.5* Central Park Area - $259/nightBoutique, Fitness, Hi-Speed, Business CenterThe dates I am looking for are 4/22-4/26I am thinking that the 4* is the Empire but it doesn't quite fit the same amenities although since it's going through renovations, maybe they keep changing.Anyone have a good idea of what these two hotels are? Thanks!
thereuare Posted March 31, 2008 Report Posted March 31, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding! Before looking at the two hotels above, are you familiar with NYC and/or have reason to stay in this particular area... it's not generally the prefered/most convenient for the typical visitor looking to do the 'tourist thing'. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
travelsf Posted March 31, 2008 Author Report Posted March 31, 2008 I am familiar with NYC but wasn't sure what those two hotels are. I will be in NYC for work and my office is in Grand Central but the choices for Mid Town East were not ones I'd like to stay at so I thought of trying hotels in other locations. I was able to identify other hotels, just not those two. Thanks!
thereuare Posted March 31, 2008 Report Posted March 31, 2008 Neither of the above have been reported/identified.What is it that you're looking for? I did find the Helmsely Midtown (not my favorite hotel but close to your office) and Beekman Tower each available for $211/nite thru Quickbook (please use this link if you go this route). These are both less than the hotels above and are also cancellable (always doublecheck yourself), so you can continue to try to 'better' this deal and use this as a back-up.If your company will spring for $315/nite :) you could book the Affinia Dumont, close to your office and one of the top rated hotels in NYC.Would either of these work for your needs? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
travelsf Posted April 1, 2008 Author Report Posted April 1, 2008 Yeah, I'm not a fan of the Helmsely hotels nor the Beekman so was going to see what else was out there even if it wasn't close to my office. Thanks for you help. If I decide to book, I will use the HOTWIRE link and report back what those unidentified hotels are if I chose one of those.
