adamvonwillis Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 Need help identifying:Check in: Mon, May 26, 2008Check out: Sat, May 31, 20083 star Times Square - Theatre DistrictRetail 279.00Amenities: Fitness, High Speed Internet, RestaurantTripAdvisor Rating 3.5 out of 5.0From what I found on the hotel list, the hotel matches this:3* Hilton Garden Inn Times SquareAmenities: Restaurant, Fitness, Hi-Speed InternetBut what I am concerned with is the fact that the tripadvisor rating is not the same. When I went to the packages section I found this:3* Washington JeffersonAmenities: Restaurant, Fitness, Hi-Speed InternetIt has the correct tripadvisor rating but it is listed in Midtown Central on the hotel list. My question is... does hotwire ever change the location of hotels or have them in 2 at the same time? I looked at the map and the WJ is right on the border. Thanks!! I'm so confused and I really want the Hilton Garden Inn.
thereuare Posted March 31, 2008 Report Posted March 31, 2008 HOTWIRE won't list the same hotel in two different zones, but they do sometimes re-define the boundaries of the zone(s) and that appears to be the case here. The Washington Jefferson is west of 8th Ave and now clearly in the Times Square zone, and of the two, that is the hotel i think you're seeing above. We've updated the New York Hotel List accordingly. Is this the only area you're considering? What is it about the HGI that appeals to you? (we may be able to find other suitable alternatives which meet your needs)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. adamvonwillis Posted March 31, 2008 Author Report Posted March 31, 2008 Well I am traveling with someone who needs to have a refrigerator in the room and the HGI has one in each room. Also, it is in a very good location as the reason for our trip is to see broadway shows. Location isn't a huge deal, but it would be nice to be within walking distance of the theaters.
thereuare Posted March 31, 2008 Report Posted March 31, 2008 Quikbook has the Eastgate Tower for $211/nite (non-cancellable) or $233/nite (cancellable) and has a refrigerator in the room (a kitchen no less!) and the reviews are very good.If you like this property you could book the non-refundable rate or at least book the cancellable rate and use this as the "hotel to beat" as you continue to search other options. Please use our Quickbook link if you go this route.Thoughts? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
