Hotwire Hotel: Please help Identify Hotel 6/15/08-6/18/08 $24

Accomendations include:

casino, shuttle, fitness center, pool, resturant, business center, laundry, high-speed internet.

I would guess it to be peppermill or grand sierra.

If it's grand sierra, would it be on the summit or normal rooms? I would hate the normal rooms there.

If it's in peppermill, wat room would I end up in? motego bay or tower rooms?

I've already booked from Orbitz $33 for two night in luxury tower, and since I wanted the 3rd night, and it's going to be cheap in holiday inn, I rather not stay for my 3rd night. So my previous post is not helpful.

If you run your search again on HOTWIRE and click the CONTINUE button or the "view hotel details" link for this offering, do you see more amenities than just the eight you've listed above?

everything is listed, just 8 above. This is why I'm so confused... might be grand sierra or peppermill in my opinion...

On my current HOTWIRE search for your dates i see a 3.5* property offered with the amenities above, but when i click the CONTINUE button or the view hotel details link, i see antoher 4 amenties shown in addition to the eight above.

Are you searching for more than one room or for more than the default 2adults/0children... or can you doublecheck HOTWIRE and click the CONTINUE button or the view hotel amenities link again.

I think you were looking at 3star downtown reno...

I double checked again, it's exactly what I listed except the price is $23 instead of $24. Let me confirm again.

Hotel: 3.5-star hotel in Reno South - Reno/Tahoe Airport

Also I heard someone said a tip about if you choose a specific hotel to be your top choice (favorite), you might get into the hotel that you like at higher chance. Is that true? How does it work anyways?

Oh no!!!

Like you said, I pressed the "continue" button, and it turns out... 12 accomendations!! NOT 8 NOT 4! BUT 12!

Interesting to know that after clicking the button "continue" could possibly have different accomendation from the first page.

But huge disappointment knowing it's grand sierra.... shrug... does anyone know what kind room does grand sierra provide through HOTWIRE?

It's not that the amenities change, it's that they 'splash page' can only show the first eight amenity icons... you need to click 'CONTINUE' or 'View Hotel Details' to see amenities beyond the first eight.

I'm not familiar with the different room classes at this property, but in this Grand Sierra Hotel Review there is a description of the room given thru HOTWIRE.

I know both property pretty well I think... Thanks for the info.

The person who gave a review on grand sierra got the summit room, but he didn't identify did what star room he booked on hotwire. I wonder if I book 3.5*, would I end up in the summit too.

The reviewers original thread is here: RENO HILTON and it was won as a 4* property... but that was nearly 3 years ago and it is quite possible the star rating has changed since then.
