thereuare Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding! The 4* is a match for the Occidental Grand Cozumel while the 4.5* is a match for the Presidente Inter-Continental so that would be our best guess for each. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. calaxer19 Posted March 30, 2008 Author Report Posted March 30, 2008 Terrific, thank you for the info!I am having trouble finding up to date information on hotels participating in Priceline in Cozumel. Any idea what the 4 star or resort choices might be?
thereuare Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 Anything reported to the board would be in the Priceline Hotel List.We don't see too much PRICELINE bidding in this area, as i think most look towards Cancun or are looking for an all-inclusive, and PRICELINE only offers all-inclusive properties in their vacation product, while HOTWIRE offers both all-inclusive and 'ala carte' hotels thru their opaque product. calaxer19 Posted April 1, 2008 Author Report Posted April 1, 2008 I did a bit more research into these Hotwire options and agree that the 4* all-inclusive is the Occidental, but I'm not sure about the Inter-Continental. On HOTWIRE, it says the hotel receives 260+ reviews on tripadvisor while the Inter-Continental only has 249 reviews. However, the Cozumel Palace has 269 reviews and the amenities appear consistent. Are the tripadivsor review ratings and number reliable?Thank you!
thereuare Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 The number of reviews is sometimes off by a small amount.Have you ever seen the Cozumel Palace offered/received on HOTWIRE and/or the amenities associated with it? (or are you basing it on amenities offered at the property) I've never seen that property on HOTWIRE, but have seen the amenities above associated with the Inter-Continental. That doesn't exclude the above from being the Cozumel Palace, but it does make the Inter-Continental our best guess. (pending any additional information you have associating the above amenities with the Cozumel Palace)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide or if we can be of further help.
