AZ Nightshade Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 I'm pretty upset :) Got Hyatt 66 for $185 via Priceline, total price paid $1,053.40 (was bidding 165, 175, 180 yesterday- rejected)Could've booked directly with AAA promo for $199 per night + taxes, but for extra $50 would get a better room as a Gold Passport Member... Via PRICELINE will prolbably get an outdated room in the middle of their renovation... Ugh... Was hoping to get Marriot Resort, but now I'm stuck with Hyatt 66 with savings of $50 :) I'd rather pay $50 extra to be sure they won't put me in their designated "priceline winner" room.
yellowdog Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 AZ Nightshade, thanx for posting your win! But can you please add the dates for your stay?Your correct that this deal will not be nominated as the "deal of the year", but you saved a few $$. You can allways ask or maybe pay for an upgrade when you arrive to the hotel. Sadly is this one the hotels that got "PRICELINE rooms", or used to have. I don't know how far the renovation has come.Next time you use PRICELINE so take a look at the boards Priceline Florida Hotel List. You should not have used the 4* level if you had the Marriot in mind. This hotel is a Resort. So you should have used the Resort level when you bid. Feel free to ask any question before your next stay.I hope everything turns out good for you. If you have the time when you get back so please post a few lines about the room and your stay.YellowDog.
