retropia Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 I started bidding $59 a night for 3 nights in the South-Airport area for a 3-star property, with no success. Then I increased my bid to $65 and added the NW-Arboretum area, which also has 3-star properties, with no success. Then I increased my bid to $71 and added the Southwest area, which only has up to 2-star properties, with no success. Then I increased my bid to $77 and added the Downtown area, which was successful. For three nights it came to $231, plus taxes and Priceline fees of $45.11 brought my total to $276.11.The best comparable price on HOTWIRE for a 3-star property in the NW-Arboretum area was $99 per night, and the best Holiday Inn website price for this property was $101.10 per night.I used the PRICELINE link from Better Bidding.
