SMS Posted March 26, 2008 Author Report Posted March 26, 2008 I'd like to pay as low as possible, but I'm not sure what would be a reasonable price for this time of year at the resort level. I couldn't find any past accepted bids to base a price upon. I'd love to pay around $80 a night, but is this too low for the resort class?I'd rather not pay more than $105, which is the price right now for a hotwire 4 star in the lake buena vista area. It was $95 two days ago and steadily going up. I thought a resort with priceline might be a bit nicer for perhaps even a little less money...?
thereuare Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 At the Resort level you have nine re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select Resort WDW...Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $105Any questions feel free to ask. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Good Luck and let us know how it goes. SMS Posted March 26, 2008 Author Report Posted March 26, 2008 It won't let me rebid with a higher price unless I also add another area. I thought I could add an area, if it was rejected, keep the same areas but add $5.00 per night, but to rebid I must add an area every time. Am I doing something wrong? It seems to me that they would love to have me keep bidding higher even if I don't add another area. Please advise, I'm up to $80 with 5 areas checked. I'm going to run out of areas without resorts if I can't get it to take just a higher bid.
SMS Posted March 26, 2008 Author Report Posted March 26, 2008 To be more specific, it says "to try your request again, change one or more items with a check" but there is no check by the bid offer. So if I only increase the bid offer and submit it, it won't go through and asks me to change something with a check which is only area, star level or dates.

SMS Posted March 26, 2008 Author Report Posted March 26, 2008 I didn't have trouble adding the zones, I thought by your post that you meant for me to add $5 to each bid in-between adding another zone. I didn't understand your email to mean I needed to add a zone with each $5 increment. That is what I didn't understand, how to add just $5 to the bid without adding an additional zone.
SMS Posted March 26, 2008 Author Report Posted March 26, 2008 $85 and 6 zones finally worked, it's the Hilton.
thereuare Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 Select Resort WDW...1. Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone...2. Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...3. Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...4. Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...5. Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone...6. Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone...7. Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...8. Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone...9. Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...10. Bid $105Each number above is a step...So you bid the WDW zone at $60, if that is rejected you then add a re-bid zone and bid at $65, if that is rejected you then add a re-bid zone and bid $70, if that is rejected you then add a re-bid zone and bid $75, etc, etc.Is it clearer now?
