wish2hate Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 This is my first time using this forum... please don't mind if this is stupid to ask. "Reno, NV", 03/28/2008 - 03/29/2008, 1 room, 1 night, 2 adults. $34air shuttle, casino, fitness center, resturantThis looks like circus circus downtown for me, but not sure... tell me what you think?
thereuare Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding! Not a stupid question.. this is exactly what we do here :)The above is a match for the Holiday Inn Downtown so that would be our best guess. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
wish2hate Posted March 30, 2008 Author Report Posted March 30, 2008 Follow Up (a little useless but I hope you can find it useful):Comparing the prices, hotwire isn't the cheapest one of all. Especially most likely will end up in holiday inn - a shitty hotel. I booked on Orbitz for 2 nights at Atlantis luxury room for $33 (tax is already included) with $50 off coupon. The night when I arrived at hotel all the luxury room are out...including royal dolphin, atrium, and conceirge are all out. So they put in in suite instead. Yes, im not joking, $33 night + energy surplus fee = 2 nights in atrium spa suite!
pterrell Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 Your info is useful!! Often, HOTWIRE doesn't offer the best deal, especially in tourist destinations such as Reno. Specials on the travel sites often beat the Hotwire rate. Even the hotel web sites sometimes beat Hotwire. But then you have to luck out on finding these deals. But that's one reason the Betterbidding site has a couple of tools that send multiple inquires to the major travel sites. And of course PRICELINE beats HOTWIRE most of the time anyways...BTW, you scored such a deal!!
thereuare Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 I'll also add that the $50 off 2 nite stay promotion from Orbitz was listed at the top of this website, so we try to keep users up-to-date on the current deals and offerings, and when something 'remarkable' comes along, we highlight it at the top of the board so that it is prominently displayed.I'll also give a plug to our BetterChecker.com which i think is one of the tools eluded to above, which is great for conducting rate research at multiple properties. wish2hate Posted April 2, 2008 Author Report Posted April 2, 2008 Adding an addtional note to Orbitz $50 off for two nights in hotel... it is already ended.
