I just want to say thanks for all of these posts. After I made my reservation and they dropped a day I was mad I would have to change hotels. But thanks to this site! I was able to actually get the same hotel for the 4th night (the hotel wanted 144 with tax for thursday night)! However there was no tripadvisor rating on this one. I just went by your best guess and you were right! Since my first three nights is with a reg booking I dont' know if I want to disclose my 4th night through hotwire until they have given me a room. (Then I hope they won't make me move)

Congratulations on your success!

Glad to hear the board was helpful in your purchase and that you now won't have to change hotels during your stay.

The Resort fee would not apply to just HOTWIRE customers... most 3rd party sites do not list resort fees, but if you want to confirm, you can always give the hotel a call and ask (and also inquire regarding any parking fee)

Thank you for sharing your results with the board.

Our family stayed at the Cortona a couple of years ago. They like many other hotels in the area charge a resort fee. We booked through the hotel's own web site and were charged $7 per night. We did not know about this fee until we checked out. Other than that we enjoyed our stay at the Cortona. Parking is free there and there seemed to be no problem finding a parking place. It is only 1 1/2 blocks, but those are those looooooong Disneyland blocks. The in-laws walked back from the park and said it was about a 20 min. walk like you were told.

Well, I made it to this hotel. I have to say I am disappointed. Its really not what I would consider a three star hotel. well its more like a MOTEL. And I booked this hotel(MOTEL) on hotwire ONLY because I didn't want to change rooms. Well, they are making me change rooms anyway! The guy who checked us in, wasn't what I would consider friendly and they put us in a KING bed room for thursday night because its a "different travel company booking" gee. So I will have to pack up check out then check back in later. leaving us a few hours on the last full day of our trip to walk around with our luggage unless I want to pay for late check out! OMG! HAD I known this I would have happily booked the hilton since they are wayyyyyyyyy nicer there. OH WELL LESSON LEARNED. I should have booked for three people so I needed two queens. But then again they prob would have wanted us all to squeeze in a king!

I agree with you. I thought it was rediculas he was trying to change my room because the last night was a "hotwire" booking. He saw it in the computer. I didn't want to talk to him again. So, I actually went down and talked to Romeo during the day time, who was a lot nicer than the other guy. He couldn't find my reservation for Thursday at all. (It disappeared???? After the evening clerk saw it there...Strange huh?) Luckily I took a copy of my Hotwire booking. Romeo looked at it and said why do you have to change rooms? I told him the other guy said so. He said No, he was pretty sure he could keep me in the same room. So I had to call Wed before 11 pm to find out if I had to change. He was able to fix it. That was a pain but other than that it was ok. After visiting my friends room at Vegabond I was happy I wasn't at her hotel. Cortona wasn't bad, definately not HILTON, but doable for the price. The maids do not speak english but I used my online translator to leave them a note for more pillows. Which worked! ya me! The pictures make the hotel rooms look bigger. Parking was tight in the evening and beds are hard but over all good for the 58.00. OH yea. Romeo did tell me that the resort fee is ONLY for hotwire and priceline. The other agenies apparently include it in the price. :)
