On 5/27 submitted a bid for $30 (downtown only), rejected. Added S. Beach (I was comfortable w/either area), and upped bid to $35....rejected. After 72 hour wait, bid Downtown only today @ $38....Accepted first try today.

I was a little suprised, as this is Labor Day weekend, and the FSU-Miami football game is being played in Miami on 9/6.

BTW, I am new to this board, but have been reviewing it for the last week or so. Every one here seems so much nicer than TOBB.

Good luck with your bids! :)

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Thank you for posting your winning bid.

Don't know if you're familiar with this hotel but i have stayed there and it's one of the best $38 hotel rooms you'll find. The room set-up is somewhat unique but it is quite functional.

The downtown area is somewhat business oriented so i don't think the labor day weekend would increase rates too much... but i would imagine the FSU/Miami game would certainly fill a fair number of rooms in the area. Glad to hear your got your room and are now all 'set'.

Enjoy your stay.
