I stayed at this hotel in March 2008. I arrived in the morning and the only room available was a larger family room on a smoking floor. The room was a the size of a basic hotel room with a small bathroom. There were 2 double beds and a desk. It was slightly bigger than the standard room I had at another Holiday Inn in London. There was a strong smoke odor in the hallway of the floor, but none at all in the room.

The overall hotel experience was very good. The front desk staff is the best that I've experienced in London. They responded promptly to any issues and were always friendly and available. The lobby/bar/business center were pleasant. The mini-gym is mini indeed! 3 different cardio machines and a water dispenser in a very small room.

The reviews on Trip Advisor were very positive. I agree with them, except my room had a number of minor problems: toilet roll holder bar didn't fit the holder, the climate control was missing a screw and threatening to come off the wall, it took a few minutes to get hot water in the shower, and at the sink the water never got hot - just warm - a pain for shaving. I'm assuming that this is a fluke.

If you stay at a Holiday Inn, and are a member of their frequent guest program, you get some goodies like newspaper at your door, a free bottle of water, etc.
