ejjelinski Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 I want to bid on a French Quarter hotel for April 5, 2008 thru April 8, 2008. I'd prefer a 4 or 3 star, but would also go lower. I'm looking at bidding no more than $80 per night. I'd also entertain the idea of the Central Business District. I've never been to New Orleans before and am travelling to hang out in the French Quarter area. Are the CBD hotels close to the French Quarter? Thanks for your help!!
thereuare Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding!I'd also entertain the idea of the Central Business DistrictPRICELINE no longer uses a CBD zone... the zone adjacent to the FQ is the Downtown-Convention Center zone... did you want to include this in your bidding? If so, did you want to try first for a hotel in the FQ only or a 4* hotel in either the FQ or Downtown zone(s)?Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. ejjelinski Posted March 20, 2008 Author Report Posted March 20, 2008 I would like to stay in the French Quarter. The higher the star rating the better, but I would be willing to go down to a 3 or 2.5. Realistically, how much would it take to get a winning bid in the French Quarter?
thereuare Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 What is the best deal you're able to find for 3* and 4* hotels in the FQ? (use our BetterChecker to make your search easier). You should find out the best deal you can achieve thru conventional means, then determine out your maximum bid amount based upon that amount... then we can suggest a strategy for you to follow.
