farmor Posted March 17, 2008 Report Posted March 17, 2008 My brother. sister and her husband from Sweden (and myself) want to visit New York in July. We are looking for 3 rooms in Manhattan. When is the best time to bid to get this many rooms at a good price and is the price quoted by Priceline the price for one of the rooms or all three? I haven't reserved any other hotel rooms at the moment. I can't find any good deals. Also, are there any hotels that have more than one room? Lastly, does anyone have any opinions on The Washington Square Hotel?
thereuare Posted March 17, 2008 Report Posted March 17, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding! When is the best time to bid...See the related link in our PRICELINE FAQ.is the price quoted by Priceline the price for one of the rooms or all three?PRICELINE doesn't quote a room price (thru their "name your own price" service) but rather you bid for the room. Your bid is per room per nite.Lastly, does anyone have any opinions on The Washington Square Hotel? At what price? My own opinions are usually based upon value, so it's all price sensitive. As an example (prices are ficticious), a Ritz Carlton is nice, but at $600/nite it's not a good value and i'd sooner take a Marriott for $100... likewise a Marriott at $100 is cheaper than a Ritz Carlton at $150, but given that chose i'd sooner take the Ritz :)What is the minimum star rating you're willing to accept for this stay? What is your maximum budget? (per nite per room before fees and taxes)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
