Hi all, it's been a while!

I am having trouble figuring out a strategy for an upcoming trip to Boston.

Dates: 6/15 - 6/17

Maximum Price: $125.

Here is where I am confused, I would like either a 4* in Quincy Market, Cambridge, or Copley

OR a 3* in only Quincy Market or Copley (but not Cambridge).

If I start bidding on the 4* ones and I am unsuccessful, I think I can close my browser and then add the 3* for Quincy Market and Copley (removing Cambridge from the equation). Is this correct? Also, since I am lowering down to a 3* should I put in lower bids than I did for the 4* or remain above what I bid for on the 4*s that were unsuccessful.

I hope this makes sense. Thanks for any help!

Yes, the above is correct.

Yes, if you lower your star rating your should also lower your bid price.

So far I have been unsuccessful. Since this isn't a necessary trip but "would be nice" trip I will try again in a few weeks. I am going to southern Maine for a family wedding and thought it would be nice to extend the trip to see Boston as well.

Here is what I tried:

Selected 4* Cambridge Bid $101 - Rejected

Added Quincy Market Bid $111 - rejected

-Closed Browser-

Selected 4* Copley and Cambridge Bid $116 - rejected

Added Quincy and Bid $120 - rejected

-Closed Browser-

Selected 3* Quincy Bid $89 rejected

Added Copley Bid $101 - rejected

When I try again I will post the results here. Oh, and I used your link to PRICELINE.

You do have three re-bid zones at both the 3* and 4* levels... is there a reason you're not using them? You could start at levels below which you have already bid and still get to $125 in the same bididng session... or are you not ready to bid up to your maximum?
