dbCLE Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 I won the Pittsburgh Crowne Plaza (3 stars) for one night, Saturday, March 29, for $49 plus tax/fees for a total of $63. Amenities are Airport Shuttle, Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, High-speed Internet Access.I booked this in January, so I am not sure if the price is still the same, but you can probably identify the hotel using the above amenities.Great forum... just recently found it after using Hotwire for 16 stays over five years and am looking forward to using the information here regularly!
thereuare Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding!Thank you for sharing your previous purchase with the board. Can you doublecheck and confirm that there was indeed a Restaurant icon associated with this property? From the Hotwire Hotel List this property has previously been reported with the amenties above but without a Restaurant icon. As well, a current HOTWIRE search for your dates shows a 3* hotel in the Airport zone without a Restaurant icon. You can still view the amenities associated with your purchase by going to HOTWIRE and clicking the MY ACCOUNT link near the top of their home page.We look forward to hearing about, and helping with, your future travel plans. Thanks, enjoy your stay upcoming stay. dbCLE Posted March 12, 2008 Author Report Posted March 12, 2008 I went back into my HOTWIRE account and verified that "Restaurant" was indeed one of the listed amenities. I also checked the hotel website, and they list the following:Verdi's Restaurant Location: In Hotel - off of main lobby Serves: Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner Verdi's open daily for breakfast and dinner and lunch Monday-Friday. Tuscan Italian Theme. Enjoy Verdi's popular Lunch Buffet Monday-Friday. I'm not sure if this means that the hotel in your search is a different hotel or if the restaurant is temporarily/permanently closed.
thereuare Posted March 12, 2008 Report Posted March 12, 2008 It could be a different hotel i'm currnetly seeing, or more likely, this hotel shows randomly with and without a restaurant icon. All part of the 'unknowns' of opaque travel :)Thanks for the follow-up.
