ww874 Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 Hello to all this is my first post and I sure wish i found this site before i tried PRICELINE. Now i'm having serve buyers remorse and I'm looking for some advice. I've previosly had great luck with HOTWIRE and I was looking for a 4 star hotel in the orlando universal area. Hotwire prices seemed a bit high so i tried priceline. I put a bid in for $125 and was denied. The website came back with a message to expand my search by including a 3 star hotels. I probably should have done more research but instead i lowered my bid to $105 and wound up getting the four points by sheraton. 3 days later i see the room i paid 105 on priceline for is listed on sheratons website for $95. I called PRICELINE and was told sorry it was longer then 24 hours and they couldn't do anything for me. I'd like to cancel my reservation but from what i've read here that doesn't look possible. any advice would be greatly appreciated.
thereuare Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding!I assume this is the Four Points Studio City which you received?Unfortnatley i think you're "stuck" on this one... PRICELINE's terms are pretty clear and to get a refund of the difference you do need to contact them within 24 hours (afterall, it is possible that this hotel was $200 (or some other price) the day you won, and then the rate dropped a few days later). On a positive note the difference above is only $10, and it has sparked you to find this forum :) Having done so we'll certainly be able to help you save more than that on your next travel purchases. Thanks for the post... don't let the $10 spoil your trip and enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
ww874 Posted March 4, 2008 Author Report Posted March 4, 2008 thanks for getting back so quick. My wife told me the same thing. I hate when shes right :)
