gold24k Posted February 28, 2008 Report Posted February 28, 2008 Hello,First Off, I love this site. I will be travling to Honalulu from 4/25/08 - 4/29/08, and Maui from 4/29/08 - 5/3/08. In Honalulu, I am looking to stay on Waikiki Beach, or Waikiki Marina, in a resort or 4 star. I was looking at paying no more than $150 - $160 / night. It seems as if hotels are a bit more expensive in Maui, and am looking to stay in a resort, preferably : Resort Hyatt Regency, Resort Sheraton REVIEW, Resort Westin Maui Resort and Spa, Resort Renaissance, Resort Wailea Marriott. I am looking to spend up to $200/night. Any suggestions?

We'll use this thread for your first stay in Honolulu, please start a NEW TOPIC for your Maui stay. For Honolulu, are you willing to spend more to stay in a Resort vs. a 4 star or are you looking for the least expensive 4* or better hotel? Which zones, by priceline name, are you willing to stay in?Let us know the above and we'll advise accordingly.PS- thanks for the compliments on the site :) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
gold24k Posted March 1, 2008 Author Report Posted March 1, 2008 Yes, I am willing to spend more to stay in a resort or 4 star. I would like to stay in the best hotel possible. The zones I am looking to stay in are: 1st choice Waikiki Beach, and 2nd would be Waikiki marina. Thanks again for all your help.
thereuare Posted March 1, 2008 Report Posted March 1, 2008 One more question...What is more important... zone or price? If you are rejected for a Resort in the Beach zone, did you then want to try for a 4* in the Beach zone or a Resort in the Marina zone? If zone is more important, are you willing to pay more for a hotel in the Beach zone vs. the Marina zone or do you prefer the least expensive Resort in either of these zones?Let us know the above and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. gold24k Posted March 2, 2008 Author Report Posted March 2, 2008 Zone is most important. I really do want to stay on the beach. yes, i would be willing to spend more in the beach zone than in the marina.
