ckirk0 Posted February 28, 2008 Report Posted February 28, 2008 Hi everyone,I'm looking to book a few rooms at the same time in New York for a 4 star hotel on Priceline but all under just my name. I can make 6 different valid variations to enter into the name fields which they have you fill out but I'm wondering if there will be problems when my guests check in. Has anyone done this before? I will be with all my guests checking in but I need to book them all on Priceline under my name because I don't have confirmation of all my guests names.Any info would really be appreciated.
thereuare Posted February 29, 2008 Report Posted February 29, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding! You don't need to vary your name at all, priceline will allow you to book all the rooms under the same name if you choose to do so... the only caveat, which you apepar to know already, is that whoever's name the room is in must be there at check-in.Please use this PRICELINE link to begin any bidding that you do.If you'd like help bidding for this stay please post the zones you're willing to accept, the date(s) of your stay, and your maximum budget.Let us know and/or keep us updated as to what you decide to do for this stay. ckirk0 Posted February 29, 2008 Author Report Posted February 29, 2008 Not as far as I'm aware. I just checked yesterday and you need to enter different names for every room you are booking if they are at the same time. Although I'm sure if you book one room at a time then it will allow you to use one name several times over, however if you are booking three rooms in one booking there has to be three different names for each room. Look into this and you'll see, thanks for the information.
thereuare Posted February 29, 2008 Report Posted February 29, 2008 At what point are you told you can't use the same name... i just made it to the 'review' screen with the same name entered for four rooms. ckirk0 Posted February 29, 2008 Author Report Posted February 29, 2008 Yes for some reason, 4 seems to be the cut off point. If you try to book five rooms under one name then it won't allow you. Even if you change one name so 4 are the same but one is different, then it still won't allow you to proceed.Anything over 4 rooms then it won't allow you to book using the same name twice.
thereuare Posted March 1, 2008 Report Posted March 1, 2008 You may also be able to a period at the end of your name, or Mr./Mrs. (with and without a period) in front of some names, use an initial instead of your full first name, etc, etc... i wouldn't worry about this aspect too much, just don't use some name that doesn't have anything to do with you.Do you need help bidding for this stay? Please remember to use this PRICELINE link to begin your bids. ckirk0 Posted March 15, 2008 Author Report Posted March 15, 2008 I'm waiting until I have all the numbers together before I bid yet, I will update when I bid.
