dweber Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 new to the board and have a couple questions. I was originally looking to book at mgm or mandalay bay using a delta or some other package for July. But looks like people are getting great deals in palazzo and other 5 stars. 1. Does anyone know all the 5 Stars priceline has deals with. I don't really care if at north or south end for right deal2. If the price comes back at say $150, does that include taxes and fees? I think i read where priceline tacks on an $8 fee. I'm assuming that's per night? If taxes aren't included, anyone know what % I should add on?Thanks
blindman Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding.1. At present the only reported 5* hotels are the Venetian, the Palazzo and TheHotel at Mandalay Bay. There could be more (the Bellagio came up years back) that are not being won or reported.2. When you place your bid for a hotel the next page shows the Total cost which will include taxes and the Priceline fee so nothing is hidden when you hit 'Submit'. However 'some' hotels will charge you a 'resort' fee when you arrive which can be up to $15 per day so do your research and take this into account.
dweber Posted February 27, 2008 Author Report Posted February 27, 2008 Thanks a lot. I don't want a $135 per night steal turning into $175 after you add on $15 resort fee, $8 priceline fee, then taxes, etc.
blindman Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 You can always do a 'dummy' bid to see how much extra the fees and taxes come to.IIRC no 5* Las Vegas hotels charge a resort fee. It is usually (unsurprisingly) the resorts that do this.BTWI edited your post to tidy it up.
