MikeMpls Posted February 19, 2008 Author Report Posted February 19, 2008 Got a reject tonight for 4* Melbourne $130 for 5/26/08 - 5/30/08, PL countered at + $22. That probably means the Marriott at $152 is possible since there's no other hotel w/ a known recent record of accepting bids in Melbourne.Price went up a bit for my Plan B (probably currency fluctuations), so I will add $5 to my 4* bid in a day or two. What's the rush, man, ... :) The Melbourne Marriott's track record is at $130, but I believe those are all in 2007.
thereuare Posted February 19, 2008 Report Posted February 19, 2008 As the US Dollar has been weak, the $130 wins for last year may also take a bit more currently (even if the same price in AUD) due to currency conversion. Based upon your counter-offer i suspect you're likely very close.Keep us updated. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
MikeMpls Posted February 20, 2008 Author Report Posted February 20, 2008 $135/night bid, taxes & service fees $72.57, all-in $612.57
