MikeMpls Posted February 17, 2008 Report Posted February 17, 2008 Over the last week (Feb. 10-17) I've accumulated a pile of Priceline rejects trying to find the cheapest PL hotel in Sydney. Priceline shows a 2* category in Sydney, but there appears to be no bidding history on-line indicate that a 2* hotel has ever accepted a bid.I started bidding at $40, increasing in $3 increments to $82.Stay dates were various permutations of 5/18/2008 -5/21/2008 & in between.Typically I would bid on 3*, then increase by $3 & bid on 2*, then maybe change the dates or quit for the evening.Tomorrow night I will make a realistic bid for the Hyde Park Marriott (4*, have stayed there before, usually PL's for $120), and if that flops I will book the Travelodge through Expedia @ 100/night all-in.Then I'll be looking for the bottom of the Melbourne market for 5/26-30. :)

annabelle Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 Try www.wotif.com.au. This is probably the main site used in Australia.
