Priceline Hotel: Vegas stay April 23-28 Help

Hello, my first time using this site. My wife and I will be traveling to Vegas April 23- 28. We must stay on the strip. We usually stay at stratosphere (cheap). I would like to try to priceline a strip hotel but I am afraid of getting a hotel like the Westin. We would like to split our stay up and maybe try to stay somewhere nice Wednesday and Thursday and go cheaper for Friday and Saturday and maybe even stay somewhere nice again Sunday night. My price range for 5 nights is around 350-450 range. From reading on here, I understand that we may not be able to go 5 star but I am hoping we can stay nicer than the Stratosphere. Help

I'd first try to determine your best rate thru conventional methods for each leg of your stay (ie- what is the best deal you can find for Wed-Fri, then for Fri-Sun, and again for Sun-Mon) which would put you within your budget. Then we can begin to suggest a strategy to follow since we know the 'price to beat' for each leg of your stay (and if unsuccessful for any given leg of the stay, can always "fill-in" with your best rate you're able to find thru conventional methods)
