ToddC Posted February 14, 2008 Report Posted February 14, 2008 Bidding in the Riverwalk area, we were able to get this hotel at $55/night. If anyone could let me know their experiences, I would appreciate.

Jailbreak Posted February 17, 2008 Report Posted February 17, 2008 I stayed at this Staybridge with a group of six others. Everyone raved about this hotel. It is a recently renovated warehouse (Summer 2007) with nicely appointed and spacious suites with kitchenettes, plasma TVs, etc. A nice hot breakfast is included, as well as a happy hour during the week. Everything about this hotel says "class." The only potential drawbacks are: 1) the immediate area around the hotel is OK, but more than a few blocks away gets a little dicey; and 2) is that it is on the other side of the freeway from the Riverwalk. But the price you are getting for such a nice hotel more than offsets the vicinity (next to the Alamodome) and the short walk/ride to the Riverwalk. You won't be dissappointed with this hotel. I promise.
ewitt Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 Also won a room at this Staybridge from 3/19-3/20. (Already posted as a new topic) I researched it on trip advisor and the hotel itself sounds great, but read in some reviews that it was located near train tracks (hence the name Sunset STATION) and that they actually offer guests earplugs to cope with the train whistle. Jailbreak - did you have any trouble sleeping due to the trains?
