newbie but have lurked here forever and love the great advice! will absolutely buy through the links here - your forums have been worth every penny in bids-past.

i did a search for 3.5* but nothing came up - perhaps i should have just queried for 3*?

anyway, via hotwire email this a.m. i am trying to find out what would be NMA-Water Tower Gold Coast with the aforementioned 3.5*, amenities Fitness, High Speed, Restaurant, Business Center.

Points of interest: 1. Water Tower, 2. Hancock Observatory

Travel information: 10.2 miles to Chicago Midway (MDW), 15.4 miles to Chicago O'Hare Intl. (ORD)

customer rating is 3.5/5* but at this point i am getting desperate for this weekend (also missed the Hard Rock $109/night deal - kicking myself every day).

The worst part is this is a meet-up for a group of sci-fi nuts who need the SciFi channel and not every hotel carries it! yes, we should have planned earlier - busy people = pay through the nose :)

many thanks for any help. if i can somewhat narrow it down i will call all options to inquire about the scifi channel. that sounds very lame, but hey, we're scifi fans, so...
