MacGromit Posted February 14, 2008 Report Posted February 14, 2008 Followed an earlier post for a room 2/18-2/19 for $65 plus tax/service to $80.05.Tinkered in the $51-64 bids, adding a zone each time until it popped at $65.Asheville has three 3* hotels: Bid on a 3* star and you'll get one of the following. Usually always the Renaissance but sometimes the Crown Plaza. I've never gotten the Doubletree before but I hear it's a 3* as well.Renaissance (downtown)Crown Plaza (frm Holiday Day Inn SunSpree with the old golf course around it, about 1 mile west of downtown)Doubletree (Biltmore just about 2/10 mile from the Biltmore Estate entrance)Renaissance is walking distance from the downtown eateries and bars.Crown Plaza is a little dated but convenientDoubletree is convenient to the Biltmore Estate and Village.
