I was hoping to get a $50 - 70 planet hollywood hotel.. However it didn't seem to work out when I tried to bid it..

Can anyone give me any pointers? I am lost as I am running out of time and options..

I don't mind paying $80 or above for a 4*

My last resort would be ~$120 for a 5 star Palazzo

Which zones did you include in your bidding? When did you make your last bid?

What is your maximum bid for a 4 star?

Do you have a confirmed offer for this hotel at this price? If you intend to bid on it, what makes you believe you will be successful at $120?

Thanks for the reply!

I just included south and north strip as my bidding zone, and I attempted $75.

My maximum bid for a 4 star would be $90 (as I can book mirage on their web for $100)

I don't have a confirmed offer for a 5*, I am just basing my assumption from other's recent successful bids.

Did you use any re-bids when making this bid, or only included the North and South strip zones?

A $90 bid, plus service fee, will bring you up to $96+tax. I would sooner take the Mirage for an extra $4 than resorting to an opaque 4* hotel by bidding (caveat: i like the Mirage, if you don't, then perhaps you'd rather roll the dice rather than purchase direct). If you do choose to book direct, please note as per our support page that we're an affilate of the MGM Mirage and please use our link to begin any purchases/reservations you make. Also, if the $100 rate is refundable up until 72 hours (or 48 hours before your stay) you may want to consider locking it in while you continue to bid for the next few days (but cancel before any penalty sets in, assuming you have won something)

That sounds possible, but somewhat low relative to generally accpeted bids at that star level. Just as i would sooner take the MGM Mirage at $100 before bidding at $90, i'd also sooner take a 5* hotel at $120 before the Mirage at $90... but not sure how flexible you are with your budget.
