squiddy Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 This is a "new" 4-star to Florence, a bit of an unpleasant surprise, I *thought* I was bidding on the Boscola Astoria or Granducato, ; I knew I'd made a mistake when my first bid was accepted at $100 - and it was probably my imagination, but seemed it accepted the offer way too eagerly, snapping up my money before I could blink... :) Reviews are mixed, seems ok, but doesn't appear to the in the same class as the Astoria. Could've done better simply by going direct to the hotel website, with similar/better rates and of course, the ability to cancel / change reservations. And, not to mention, there are plenty of other choices in this price range this time of year. Another example of Priceline playing fast-and-loose with the "star" ratings ....

Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
