rev Posted February 8, 2008 Report Posted February 8, 2008 Hi guys. Rev here, new guy.I have tried to bid on this hotel with 100 dollar as my bid as I see they go for about 90 but wanted ot make sure. I am looking for a thurs - sun stay any weekend in april but anything ive tried has been refused any suggestions would be great
blindman Posted February 8, 2008 Report Posted February 8, 2008 Thanks for starting a new thread. You do realise you canNOT bid for a specific hotel on Priceline?(I've edited the title to reflect this)Is this the only area where you want to bid? What is you maximum bid ($100?)Dates are April 3-6th and then 10-13, 17-20, 24- 27.
rev Posted February 8, 2008 Author Report Posted February 8, 2008 Hi Blindman,I do of course understand that, Mt max bid would be aorund 90 - 120 and yes the dates you said are correct. The reason I choose this title was because the marriot seems to be the only 4 star in that area.

rev Posted February 11, 2008 Author Report Posted February 11, 2008 Which zones did you include in your $115 bidding?I bid area St. Germain - Latin Quarter - Montparnasse and then Batignolles - Montmartre - Republique aswell as the first one.One thing I have noticed though. When it lists the 2-5 star hotels on the page before u want to bid it shows Latin Quarter - St. Germain but when u click the 4 star its not listed in that section but when you click Montparnasse its listed there. Im totally confused. Any help what so ever would be great.
thereuare Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 When it lists the 2-5 star hotels on the page before u want to bid it shows Latin Quarter - St. Germain but when u click the 4 star its not listed in that section but when you click Montparnasse its listed there. Im totally confusedAfter your bid is rejected, you're being taken to Priceline's "Retail" product where there is no bidding and the names of the hotels are shown... this section of their website also uses different zones than the "name your own price" (or opaque section) of their website.Once you're taken to the page you describe as 'where you click the 4 stars', look above the grid and you'll see a message in red letters (paraphrased): "We couldn't find a hotel willing to accept your bid, but found these offers below. If you'd like to try your bid again CLICK HERE". If you click where indicated you will be brought back to the "name your own price" section of Priceline.
