Hotwire Hotel: 4* Montreal (Downtown) Hyatt Regency

Wow, this is to easy...used HOTWIRE link, snapped in dates....used this forum to identify hotel...and bang...wicked deal on downtown 4 star

in Montreal.....someone already won this same hotel through hotwire for same dates..........nice job...thanx......even a big convention in town and I was not expecting this good of deal...same hotel,same nites through Expedia 190 /nite....through hotel webste 180 with immediate payment...

Hi..I think I am in something u cant help me with but it doesnt' hurt to ask.....if this is something that should't be posted, please delete it.

I have already booked through Hotwire and posted on this forum..for 04/22/08 - 04/26/08 a 4 * downtown Montreal Hotel which

turned out to be, as we figured the Hyatt Regency. I booked 2 rooms for the 4 nights at $72 per night.

Now we have another room needed......but I know u cant add a room to the booking...just to have something I booked one through the Hotel directly for $189 per night......I can cancel this though if I need to.

Now on Hotwire , there is only one 4 * downtown showing....with restaurant, Fitness Centre, High speed and Business Centre at $109....this one sems to fit the Delta Centre....

Are there any options for me?......if I could change the bookings I would stay at the different hotel, but u can't....and the last couple would not want to stay away from us........thanx..I guess I could check Expedia etc but i have never had much luck there...

All you can do is hope that the same amenity combination comes up again for the extra room you need, bu even then there is a risk involved as there could be another property with the same exact star rating and amenities as the Hyatt... you'll need to explain the risks to your friends and see if they would like to take the chance in exchange for the savings.

If the amenity combination you're looking for doesn't appear, you could also try changing the occupancy to different combinations greater than two (3adults, 2adults/1child, 2adults/2children, 4adults, etc) as this will often show you different properties than when searching for just 2adults. You could also try searching for a subset of dates... if you can't get the hotel you're hoping to get appear when searching for 4 nites, maybe you could get it for 1,2, or 3 nites, at least giving them a discounted rate for part of the stay and then 'filling in' with a hotel direct purchase.
