bulldog15 Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 I am looking for a 4* downtown on Feb 1-3 two nights. Any suggestions. I believe that is the only area for four stars so I should be able to use every zone to rebid in correct. I would def like to stay under $100. Any help to confirm the rebid zones and what price to start at. I have a little time. THanks Bulldog
thereuare Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding!Currently, Downtown is the only zone offering 4* bidding (but always doublecheck just before you bid to make sure nothing has changed). Therefore, you have nine re-bid zones.Select 4* Downtown...Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $100.Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes. bulldog15 Posted January 13, 2008 Author Report Posted January 13, 2008 I triedto $85 and stopped. will try again later. Do most wins come about a week before your date?
bulldog15 Posted January 17, 2008 Author Report Posted January 17, 2008 Thanks for the advice. I will try again next week. With only one zone in four star I should be able to get something. Thanks again.
bulldog15 Posted February 3, 2008 Author Report Posted February 3, 2008 Booked a four star on HOtwire. The sheet was right on for the despcription for the Sheraton except you can add the No Smoking to it also. Was a great stay and a great price. I booked it right before we left for $109. When I checked in that night they said they were going for $219. Nice savings great location. THe hotel was very nice with a great staff. No complaints. Add the No smoking to the the list. Thanks for the help. It worked great.
bulldog15 Posted February 3, 2008 Author Report Posted February 3, 2008 Tried priceline right before I left. Went from 70 to 115 with no luck. Booked the Sheraton off hotwire for 109. Worked out great. Thanks to the Hotwire hotel list I knew exactly which one I was going to get and it was great. Good price also. Thanks better bidding for the help. On the Hotwire list you also can add No Smoking to the Sheraton list. That gave it away to me that the Sheraton was the hotel. Great web site.
