jzsmom Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 i've noticed alot of description about the hotels, but not about the type of rooms they actually ended up in. on most hotel websites, they give different descriptions and price ranges for their different room types, so are we to assume we get the cheapest room (not that it would be a bad room at a 3 or 4 star)? my husband is 6'9", so i need to make sure we get a king bed, do we get to specify that when we are bidding (i'm new to all of this).
jzsmom Posted February 1, 2008 Author Report Posted February 1, 2008 i'm new to this. now, when we request a, say... 3* in the tech center area, are we automatically assigned a specific hotel? would we be given the option to choose from all hotels that are 3* and above that are in the area and willing to accept my bid? thanks for the help!

jzsmom Posted February 17, 2008 Author Report Posted February 17, 2008 i think i love priceline and betterbidding! i got a 4*, downtown denver, feb. 19 (one night), for my 1st bid of $80!! it is the hyatt regency which offers their cheapest room on their site at $215. the taxes and fees were about $19, so a total of $99 is not bad at all! i will post again about our stay (and room type assigned) after our stay. oh, btw.... i read the post about the $20 trick in vegas - do you think that might work at the grand hyatt in denver? its a special night for my husband and i, so i'd love to get a free upgrade!! thanks for all this wonderful info on betterbidding!!
