Hi,

I'm very new to this but i was hoping someone would be able to suggest a bidding strategy for a 4* hotel in Montreal for 23-26 April 2008. I was hoping to secure one of the following with a maximum bid of $95

Hilton Bonaventure tripadvisor

Inter-Continental Montreal

Sofitel Montreal

Hyatt Regency Montreal

Le Centre Sheraton Montreal Hotel

Your help is greatly appreciated

Welcome to BetterBidding!

You can't target a specific property on Priceline, you're subject to receiving any hotel in the zone at the minimum star rating you've selected.

If you'd like to target a specific property HOTWIRE is often a better solution as you can often identify the hotel you will likely receive before your purchase by matching the star rating and amenities and other cluues given. However, HOTWIRE is usually a little bit more expensive than priceline (although both usually offer savings vs. traditional booking channels)

What is more important to you, trying for one of the hotels above or price?

At the 4* level you have 4 re-bid zones available. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

Select 4* Downtown...

Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone1...

Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone2...

Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone3...

Bid $75, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previoulsy.

Select 4* Downtown and re-bid zone4...

Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone1...

Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone2...

Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone3...

Bid $95

Any questions feel free to ask.

Good Luck and let us know how it goes.

Hi,

Could you please help me identify these two hotels for 04/22/2008 - 04/26/2008 in DOwntown MOntreal.

The 4* has a fitness center, pool, restaurant, business center and high speed internet for $79 saving 53%

The 3* has smoke free rooms, kitchenette and high speed internet for $59.

Thanks

cowpeer,

4* The amenities match both the Hyatt Regency and Inter-Continental Montreal

3* I can't get a clean match for this. But a guess for this would be the Residence Inn by Marriott Westmount or the Clarion Hotel Suites Downtown.

I'm a bit unsure about the smoking for the Clarion. But I do belive it's smoke free. I looked at the Clarion site but there is no info regarding this. But Expedia only show smoke free rooms for this hotel.

Maybe someone got a better guess/info for the 3*.

If you decide to go for any of the hotels so please use this HOTWIRE link

For the 4*, of the two suggested above, i think the Hyatt is more likely.

For the 3*, i'll point out the 2.5* user-review rating, which implies it's something you probably would be best to stay away from. :)
