Booked the annual trip to Vegas (five nites) a few days ago. We love the JW Marriott and so booked that through their website as our (expensive) fall-back option at $242/nite for the first three nites. Went to Priceline (through SavingsBarn.com, of course!) to seek a better deal, shooting for the JW Marriott, Venetian, Palazzo, or theHotel at Mandalay Bay:

FIRST BID NW/Summerlin Resort $130 Was countered with $152/nt

SECOND BID Added Strip (North), 5* $133 Rejected

THIRD BID Added Strip (South) $136 Rejected

FOURTH BID Added W. of Strip $139 Rejected

FIFTH BID Added Nellis $142 ACCEPTED!

Not the $99/nite I got the JW for several years ago but nothing nice in Vegas is that cheap nowadays - still A LOT BETTER than $242/nt!

Received an offer to extend our stay at the same price. Was pretty much planning on another destination (Sedona or Zion National Park) for the last two nites but since we love the Marriott and the price was OK we extended our stay.

Congratulations on your win!

Glad to hear you got a great deal and are happy with the results.

We've edited your topic title to change the star rating from 5* to Resort... there is no 5* bidding in this zone and previous reports have put this at the Resort level. Please confirm to make sure we got it right.

Thanks for sharing your win with the board and for using the SavingsBarn.com PRICELINE links to begin your bidding.

Enjoy your stay... and good luck in Vegas!
