The above matches both the Sheraton and the Inter-Continental, so either of those would be our best guess... of these two, i think the Inter-Continental is the better guess and the one you're more likely seeing.

Yes, you can call the hotel, but it just a request and may or may not be honored (some hotels may not even mark your request in your reservation, but if this is the case, just ask again at check-in).

Should I say that I booked through hotwire then?

They will know, but i wouldn't mention it... just call as you would had you booked directly thru the hotel:

"I have a reservation under (Mr./Mrs. XYZ) arriving on Feb. 29th, i wanted to put in a request for a room with (two beds / one King bed)".

If you're told that they can't put in the request, just say "OK, but could you possibly just put a footnote in the reservation for me, as:

-this is an anniversary trip so i want it to be special and having two beds wouldn't exactly be a good idea on an anniversary nite (if you wanting one bed)

-i'm traveling with my brother/sister... it's going to be hard enough traveling with him/her, let alone if we have to share a bed together (or something else to make the clerk laugh) (if wanting two beds)

Just remember to be friendly regardless of their response!
