rockamole
Searched on Hotwire and found 4* hotel central strip for $182/night ($404 total w/ taxes, fees) with the following amenities:Casino, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, High Speed Internet Access, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Spa ServicesALSOPer the amenities page, there are 880+ reviews on TripAdvisor with average rating of 4.0 out of 5 stars.I know other possibilities for that region and star value are Caesar's, Bally's, Treasure Island and Planet Hollywood, but I believe Bally's and TI are eliminated due to the amenities and TripAdvisor's listing for Paris shows 897 reviews and avg rating 4/5 stars. Can anyone confirm deny?As a separate but related question - I can stay at the Westin Casuarina for $314 - thoughts on spending another $90 to stay at (what I think is) Paris? Worth it? Thanks!Rock Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! How about the Paris for $152/nite?Book the Paris directly thru their website for $204/nite ($199fri+$209sat). Then submit a "Best Rate Guarantee" claim since you can get a better rate ($202/nite) HERE.If successful Paris will honor this $204 rate less 25%... giving you a rate of $152/nite.If you go this route, and since we don't have a support link to Paris, if this information has been helpful and you'd like to support the board you can do so HEREAny question feel free to ask.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. rockamole
Thank you for the welcome.I see where you're going with that except at the Last MinuteTravel website, it will cost more than booking directly through Paris when taxes & fees are considered ($444.72 at Paris, vs. $451.60 at LMT). Will that invalidate the 25% "Best Rate Guarantee" Claim or will they only look at the per night cost independent of final booking cost? Thanks! Link to comment
thereuare
It's based upon room rate, so you shouldn't have any problem (of course, you don't want to bring it to their attention either :) )The beauty of the above though is that the rate directly thru the Paris website is cancellable (always confirm yourself) so if you do have any problem, you simply cancel the reservation made directly with the Paris website.Let us know how it goes. rockamole
Okay great - how exactly would I submit that best rate guarantee claim with the Paris? Is there a place on their website? Thanks again! Link to comment
thereuare
At the Paris website, where you enter your dates to conduct a rate search, there is a also a link (next to the BOOK NOW button) to their Best Rate Guarantee which explains how to submit a claim.Let us know if you don't see it. rockamole
It wasn't next to the "Book Reservation" link but I found it by searching their Reservation Help area and downloaded the claim form. Thanks! I'll let you know if it worked! Link to comment
rockamole
Success! It took some work (had to download the claim form, scan the document, then take a screen shot of the credit card transaction screen side by side with official US Government time to prove that it was within 4 hours of making my reservation) and they honored it and I got $152/night so quite a deal indeed. Thanks for the suggestion - looking forward to the trip!
