gvangild Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 I have question as to the strategy I should use in bidding for this hotel. First off, I am going to be in Orlando for a Convention from Feb. 2nd till Feb. 6th, but am staying the rest of the week for R/R with my family of 4 until Feb. 9th. There is a convention at the Gaylord from 2/3 until 2/6, and I was fortunate to get a room there for me and my family the first 3 nights....but the last night of the convention, they are booked (supposedly). The rest of the nights they have availability...but the price they are quoting is well over $300/night. A coworker who is traveling there for the same confrence has a sister that is in corporate sales for Disney, and he is seeing if she can help me out for that Tuesday night and the balance of the week. If she can't help, and I'm forced to check my family out that lone night, is there a certain "strategy" in using Priceline to get the reduced rate youwere able to get for the balance of the evenings? Or can anyone suggest a similar hotel in that area? I've never been to Orlando. Any suggestions, as I am a rookie at doing this, are gratefully appreciated.
