Need help IDing a possible new 4* for Westshore Tampa TPA airport that appeared today on a search for two rooms for 03/22-03/23.

Amenities list of shuttle, restaurant, pool, fitness centre, business, and High speed internet match Hyatt and Intercontinental, but rate of $306 is $100 higher than Hyatt website and $150 higher than Intercontinental website for these dates!

New higher end hotel in the area or a pricing mistake?

Also, when selecting number of adults and children on hotwire, is that the total guests in party or guests per room?

Welcome to BetterBidding!

The number of occupants selected is the total number of people in all rooms.

How many rooms, adults, and children are you selecting to have the above 4* hotel appear? (does this room and occupancy work for your needs)

Let us know the above and we'll take a closer look.

3 adults 2 children total - 2 rooms total in party.

Must have been a error however as the 4* is no longer appearing in the HOTWIRE search for this date. It wasn't there last night either.

Edit: Ok, here's how to get the $309 4* to appear. Enter TPA for city, 03/22-03/23, 2 rooms, 3 adults, 2 children. Sort list by Rating. 4* is not on list. Deselect St. Petersburg area to remove it, click update my results and up pops the 4* at $309. This is not in my price range anyways, I was just curious what it could be.

Sheraton Suites didn't cut it with the wife. Ended up booking 2 rooms at the 4* Renaissance Tampa International Plaza for $165 on Priceline bid tonight - same date 03/22 - about 35% off lowest AAA rate I could find, so I think it was a good deal considering it's Easter weekend. I will post the info in the Priceline Florida forum

Needed a Tampa hotel near the airport for 1 nite on Easter weekend (03/22) before flying home, so I tried Priceline through the savingsbarn link. Hotwire didn't list any 4* for airport/westshore and Sheraton Suites wasn't going to cut it with the wife.

Worked up in $10 increments from $100. Last jump was $15 to 165 as I was getting frustrated, so I probably overpaid by between $1-14!

This is Easter Weekend, so I wasn't expecting a great deal like the $80 Hyatts others have snagged - still it's about 35% off the cheapest AAA rate I could find of $255, so I think it worked out OK and hotel definitely has the wife acceptance factor.
