To date I've been working Priceline 5* to $180 and 4* to $150.

A fellow poster got the Mecenate (4*) at $132 at the last minute for his trip in mid-January.

Any good guesses as to this hotel? Thanks, Rich

Unfortunately this property has not yet been identified.

The 'retail' rate matches that of the Palace Boscolo Hotel, but nothing else matches so i don't think thta is what you're seeing here.

Bailed on staying within Downtown Rome. I wasn't too keen about being the first to identify this property. Opted instead for a 2 night stay at Villa Grazioli in Frascate. Frascate is just a 30 minute train ride from Rome Termini with trains departing hourly --- easy access by car. The Expedia rate for this restored 16th century villa was just over US$100 /night. Restaurant was good and considering the bargain on the room I didn't mind the slightly expensive menu. Nice dining room, good service, good food. Also stumbled upon a fun Frascati Ristorante/Pizzeria. Give Le Scalette a try (reasonably priced).
