tenerifesharon Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 Just in case you're interested, the Copthorne Tara often offers upgrades to the Executive Rooms. We paid 35 GBP per night extra during our stay last April, and it was worth it. Larger room with view, free internet, free breakfast in the Executive Club, free drinks and snacks at cocktail hour. We really enjoyed our 3 night stay there -- contrary to a lot of reviews. Don't know how the standard rooms were, but after paying $75 per night on Priceline, the extra upgrade cost was still within reason. The hotel is really quite convenient. The Tube is a 2 minute walk and the hotel is just off the Kensington High Street.
salzi74 Posted January 18, 2008 Author Report Posted January 18, 2008 Thanks a lot for the information. I will check what they are asking nowadays for an upgrade. I am not worried about the quality of the hotel. The location seems fine and that's half the battle.
