Need some quick help if I can get it. Need to get a room today through sunday on the strip. Would like to spend in the 100 dollar area. Would like the best hotel rating for those nights. Do not know vegas real well but want to be on the strip where most of the action is. Can somebody tell me what area to bid and what kind of re bid zones I have. Thanks

Just finished on priceline through the savings barn link. We wanted the south strip and a 4 star. Started at 80 and had a counter offer for 99 bucks. Took it to get it over with and ended up with the Westin. Pleased with this as most sat night prices are very high. Hoped to do better but I am pleased. Thanks for the site. I have learned alot about bidding on priceline and it has helped.

Just got back from Vegas. Have a ?, Is it right for the hotel to charge me $10 per night for a resort fee. I got the bill this morning as I was checking out. Westin was fine for us. Clean and comfortable. It is a good 4-5 min walk to the strip. I find it hard to believe it is a four star hotel in Vegas but it was nice. If anyone can tell me about my 30 dollar charge I would like to know. I was a little ticked this morning. THanks

Is it "right" or are they "within their rights" to charge a Resort fee?

They are within their rights, as priceline states that the hotel may charge an additional fee (such as resort fees), but this fee applies to all guests and not just those of priceline (and HOTWIRE).

At the Westin the fee does cover parking (free at most vegas hotels anyway), bottled water in the room, and a few other 'services'... but you also should have been told of the Resort fee at check-in.

Were you notified at check-in of the resort fee? (so that you would actually drink some of the bottled water left in the room)

No we were not told about the fee. When I called the front dest it was for the Pool and hot tub. What is ironic is that the pool and hot tub were closed. They didnt seem to care. Thanks for answering the ?

If closed for renovation (and not just because you checked-in late and checked-out early) i would fight the charge... but your dispute is with the Westin and not with Priceline.
