Hotwire Hotel: 3* Ft Lauderdale (Las Olas-Downtown-Port Everglades) Hyatt Place

Looking to get a hotel for 1 night on 2/2/08 in downtown Fll.

There is a 3* for $155 with the following amenities. I can't seem to identify it.

Complimentary Breakfast

Fitness Center

Pool(s)

Business Center

Laundry Facilities

High-speed Internet Access

Any help would be appreciated.

Is there something in particular you're looking for in this stay?

This property gets a low 2.5* user review rating (a red flag, imo) and is priced nearly $50 more than the 4* hotel offered in the same zone? Given the rating and the HOTWIRE alternatives, this doesn't seem like a realistic option unless there is something in particular you need from this stay.

I think it's the Hyatt Place (formerly Amerisuites) I think the poor rating reflects the former Amerisuites rather than the new Hyatt Place. I checked TripAdvisor and it listed Amerisuites with a rating of 2.5 with the latest review in November, 2007, which matches the HOTWIRE info.

I was looking for the Embassy Suites or Hyatt Place since both have the breakfast included.

The 4* is probably the Ren. Beautiful hotel but would have to pay for breakfast and a cab. Both the Embassy Suites and the Hyatt place used to have shuttles. We can also walk to Carlos and Pepes for dinner instead of taking a cab.

I feel it's Hyatt Place. For 2/2, the hotel's website lists a rate of $248.

Hotwire has a rate of $162, with savings of $86 = $248

Let us know if you do book it, because it would be a new hotel to add to the list, and don't forget to go through the HOTWIRE link on the board.

If I didn't have a room in FLL already, I would book it, just to know.

decided not to buy a room on HOTWIRE or Priceline this time. We are keeping our hotel we booked back in June.

I did not see where the 2.5* was $50 more than the 4*. I have the 2.5* listed at 139 and the 4* at 169; is this correct? Thank you for all your help.

Prices are date specific and change all the time... my mention of prices was a few days ago and things may have changed since then.
