tulipjr Posted January 17, 2008 Report Posted January 17, 2008 Never used HW or PL before. Need 1 room in Tucson for 2 adults, 3/8-3/12. Would love a high-end resort. HW says it's a 4* hotel in N. Tucson, $179, a 16% savings from the retail price of $212. Ammenties are: Resort, Pool(s), Business Center, Tennis Nearby, Fitness Center, Golf Nearby, Restaurant(s), Spa Services. Tripadvisor rating is 3.5/5, based on 60+ customer reviews, last reviewed 12/2007. Oh, and the resort fee is ~$10/night.Any ideas? THANKS! And please advise if I'd be better off (a) waiting, or (:) bidding on priceline.
thereuare Posted January 17, 2008 Report Posted January 17, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding! Before IDing this property, let's backtrack and figure out which service is best for your needs....Priceline is usually a little cheaper than HOTWIRE, but HOTWIRE gives you the ability to take an educated guess as to the property you will receive before you make your purchase. So if price is your primary goal then priceline is probably a better option... if the location, targeting/avoiding a specific hotel, or having an idea of the property beforehand is important than HOTWIRE is probably a better option. For more info see this thread: I've Never Used Priceline or HotwireAs far as if you should make your purchase now or later, see the related link in our PRICELINE FAQ.Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. tulipjr Posted January 17, 2008 Author Report Posted January 17, 2008 Hi,Thanks for your quick reply. Location is pretty important to me, and I feel more comfortable with the fact that with hotwire, I can narrow down which hotel it is. So hotwire it is, I suppose! Thanks!
thereuare Posted January 17, 2008 Report Posted January 17, 2008 The above is a match for the Omni National Golf and Spa Resort so that would be our best guess. Please use this HOTWIRE link to begin any purchases you make.Let us know how it goes or of we can be of further help. tulipjr Posted January 18, 2008 Author Report Posted January 18, 2008 Though on second thought, if I were to bid on priceline, what would you recommend? Again, I'm new to this, and I would really not want a smoking room. Thanks!

tulipjr Posted February 28, 2010 Author Report Posted February 28, 2010 I guess I'm two years late getting back to this forum. Ultimately, I bid $120 on PRICELINE for a Resort in Tucson (North). I received the Omni on the first try, I think. It was great, and my review is posted on Tripadvisor.
