Pricelines Accepts International Credit Cards?

I just won a bid, or that it looks like, and when it returned, it said:

We're sorry but we were unable to authorize your credit or debit card and could not process this request. Your card has not been charged for Request Number xxxxxx.

Now, this is my coroporate AMEX, should be no restriction. Less for 200 dollars.

Its issued in Argentina, with a USA address.

It shouldn't be a problem using a foreign VISA or MC -- I use my german VISA all the time on Priceline. Is it perhaps that it is an AMEX card instead of VISA or MC? Just a thought.

I just won a bid using my Australian based VISA, over a 1K outlay. No problems, money already taken.

Never had any problems using a German Visa or Mastercard.
