I have time but thought I'd share what I've found so far.

Bids rejected FLL Resort up to $120

Bids rejected FLL 4* up to $100

Miami Resort rejected up to $110.

Will keep trying every few days. I figure my max bids will increase by the time February rolls around.

Although I have a car I am trying to avoid the Hyatt Regency Downtown Miami. It is fine and worth the $110 / night I paid last March but I want to try somewhere different.

On occassion I noticed HOTWIRE had the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa available at $159 and again at $179.

I plan to have a rental car.

Which zones within Ft Lauderalea and Miami are you bidding?

When bidding FLL Resort, I am using both zones that have resorts and then using the rest as rebid zones.

When bidding MIA Resort, I am using both zones that have resorts and then using the rest as rebid zones.

For 4* in FLL, I am using Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale Beach and then several rebid zones but not bidding Downtown Fort Lauderdale, Fort Lauderdale North, and West Fort Lauderdale.

For 4* in MIA, I am only bidding Miami Beach, North Miami Beach, and South Beach and then using several rebid zones but not bidding Coral Gables, Miami Airport, and Miami Downtown.

As always I start my bidding through the PRICELINE link at SavingsBarn.com.

I'd also check EasyClickTravel as they often have decent deals in this area... the InterContinental in Miami frequently as well as some hotels in South Beach.

Been bidding for weeks nearly all of Fort Lauderdale and Miami both 4* and resort.

In Fort Lauderdale did not bid Fort Laderdale West and North

Resorts to $160

4* to $135

In Miami not including Airport and Downtown

Resorts to $160

4* to $135

With Miami Downtown 4* to $126

Finally in Fort Lauderdale I added FLL North and started back at $100

$100 (not accepted but bid $22 more offered)
