SuziScrapper Posted January 9, 2008 Report Posted January 9, 2008 I'm looking at Vancouver (Canada) Airport location. In the Priceline identified listings, there is only one 4 star in the airport area, the Fairmont. Just wondering if I do the "blind" bid, how likely is it going to be that hotel? Do they have other "hidden" hotels in the blind bidding that aren't listed in the identified section?August 16, '08...one nightWhat is a reasonable starting bid? I will go as high as $200 if chances are high this is the Fairmont.

misconduct Posted January 12, 2008 Report Posted January 12, 2008 If you haven't done so already, sign up for the Fairmont President's Club. Once a month, they release Great Rates, Great Dates. I've seen the Hotel Vancouver for as low as $109/night. The unfortunate thing is that you can't subscribe to an email notification and you have to keep logging into the site. However, if you're willing to wait, you might get the hotel.
thereuare Posted January 12, 2008 Report Posted January 12, 2008 I've seen the Hotel Vancouver for as low as $109/nightDuring the peak summer months of cruise season? :) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
misconduct Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 During the peak summer months of cruise season? :)I don't remember what the summer rates are but Hotel Vancouver appears quite consistently on their Great Rates, Great Dates deals. Naturally, it's only for certain dates. As a generalization, the rates will still be higher than PL offerings at different hotels but lower than Fairmont regular rack rates. I've gotten $109 or $129 rates at their Alberta properties when rack rate listing has been $189 or higher.
jwetherow Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 I got the Vancouver Airport Fairmont for $169/ night in November (through BCAA). My colleague got the same rate through a different program. I think this might be a reasonable starting price.
